July 31, 2025, Jingxian County, Ningxia | Large-Scale Rotary Disc Compost Turner Organic Fertilizer Fermentation Project
In response to Ningxia’s policies on the resource utilization of livestock and poultry manure and the improvement of ecological agriculture, and to address the industry pain points of extensive, insufficient-capacity, and inconsistent-quality traditional fermentation processes, local agricultural enterprises in Jingxian County upgraded their standardized trough-type fermentation production lines. On July 31, 2025, the core equipment, the large-scale rotary disc compost turner, was fully installed and successfully trial-run, marking the official completion of the standardized organic fertilizer fermentation project in the area.
Compared to ordinary small-scale compost turning equipment, the large-scale rotary disc compost turner has significant advantages in terms of large capacity, strong stability, and wide adaptability, making it suitable for large-scale organic fertilizer bases in Northwest China. The equipment can operate continuously around the clock. Targeting the characteristics of Ningxia’s raw materials, which are mainly cattle and sheep manure, it provides strong turning force and uniform material mixing, rapidly activating microbial fermentation flora, promoting composting and effectively killing insect eggs, weed seeds, and harmful bacteria, ensuring that the composted material meets national standards for organic fertilizer production.
The equipment boasts a high degree of automation, equipped with an intelligent electronic control system, enabling automatic movement, fixed-point turning, and timed start-stop, significantly reducing manual intervention and lowering enterprise production and operating costs. The machine features a robust structure and strong load-bearing capacity, suitable for long-term, high-intensity continuous operation, unaffected by harsh conditions such as northwest sandstorms, low temperatures, and dryness. It is easy to maintain and has a long service life.
After the project is implemented, it will effectively utilize livestock and poultry waste generated by large-scale local farming, addressing environmental pollution at its source. The high-quality, well-rotted organic fertilizer will be widely used in the cultivation of local specialty crops such as goji berries, grains, and fruits, effectively improving soil desertification and infertility, contributing to the quality and efficiency improvement of Ningxia’s distinctive ecological agriculture, and achieving a dual increase in environmental and economic benefits.
